Gray ThreadInvisible Threads is a 272-page book that weaves together intimate, personal stories exploring identity, memory, and belonging in liminal spaces. Through a series of open-ended questions, contributors responded with layered reflections—each voice distinct, yet subtly connected by shared feelings of in-betweenness. The book is bound using Japanese stab binding, a method that physically mirrors the act of tying together fragments of experience.
Using text as material, the stories are presented without hierarchy, encouraging readers to trace emotional and conceptual threads across sections. The format emphasizes softness and fluidity, with careful attention to material choices such as translucent overlays, delicate textures, and minimal layouts that evoke both fragility and resilience. The book invites readers to sit with vulnerability, multiplicity, and the quiet ties that connect us.
